Lower School FAQs
Is Lower School fully virtual?
Yes — daily live learning is virtual through Prenda’s platform. We add in-person Learning Labs, field trips, and community events in TX and MO throughout the year. There is no full-time in-person classroom.
How does TEFA work for K–8?
Landmark Academy is listed on TEFA as an approved K–8 school. Families apply TEFA funds toward private-school tuition. Our pricing is designed so the TEFA private school amount covers Lower School in full — leaving any remaining homeschool amount available for therapy, enrichment, or other needs.
What curriculum do you use?
Core academics run on Prenda’s mastery-based platform. Each student’s Individualized Learning Plan can incorporate additional curriculum families request — BJU Press, Subject.com, and others on request.
How small are the groups?
We cap microschool group sizes at eight students. Right now we have three seats of eight open for 2026–27.
Can my child do Lower School part-time while we homeschool?
Yes for direct-pay families — our Flex enrollment is built for that. Talk to Torrie about which days/blocks fit your family. TEFA families must maintain full-time enrollment for K–8 programming; we can highlight specific offerings if needed.
